This High-fire metallic ceramic sculpture inspiration came from a Mythical creature originating from Rakhine Tribe in Burma. Byala is made of nine animals, possessing the trunk of an elephant, the eyes of a deer, the horns of a rhinoceros, the tongue of a parrot, the body of a lion, the tail of a Phoenix, the ears of a monkey, and the feet of a chinthe or karaweik. This animal is decorated in ceremonial royal barges.
